These were the foods I prepared from my husband's birthday last Jan. 14, namely: mashed potato, broiled fish, corn bread, collard greens, chicken ala carte/fried chicken, doritos, fruit salad, ice cream, and Apple Cider. I will give you one of the recipe of the food I prepared and more recipes next time, here it is:
*Mashed Potato Recipe*
Ingredients:
2 lbs. russet potatoes (or any kind of potato)
1 teaspoon iodized salt
1 cup of half and half (1/2 condensed and 1/2) or 1 cup fresh milk
6 tablespoons butter
salt and pepper to taste
Procedure/preparation:
(1) Peel and quarter the potatoes after it cooked through steaming- be sure to cover the potatoes as you cook it. Cool it down.
(2) When it is cool already, blend it with: butter, half and half or milk, and the other ingredients in a mixing bowl. Then season with salt and pepper. That's all. Serve and eat!
Happy cooking and eating!
