(Guest post written by Annette Childress)
Before I retired, I worked a chef at this bistro downtown. I’ve always loved to cook, and, now that I’m not working, I feel like I actually have time to create more recipes than ever before!
I recently concocted this amazing pork marinade, so I decided to buy a bunch of pork loin and invite our friends over for a dinner party to try it out. All 12 of us sat around our big dining room table and enjoyed both each other’s company and the enormous amounts of food I’d made.
Well, it’s hard enough to keep up with conversation when you’ve got that many people talking, but about mid-way through the party I realized that my hearing felt a little fuzzy. I couldn’t quite understand what my friends on the other side of the room were saying, and I started lagging behind in the conversation. The next day, I made an appointment to have my hearing checked.
Turns out I actually needed hearing aids—badly. I chose a pair from Miracle Ear that I’d liked the best, and now I can hear great. I can’t wait until our next party, when I can actually enjoy our conversation!
